This Syrah opens with explosively aromatic notes of plum and blackberry accented with layers of leather, cloves, and mocha. A core of densely concentrated fruit shows the potential of compelling maturation that relaxes into a broad finish. The conclusion is lengthy and savory with notes of black olive and brambly red fruits. Aged for 22 months in 40% new barrels (100% French) and 60% neutral barrels. 94% Syrah, 4% Viognier, 2% Grenache.
