Duo Caribe is a newly formed group in Walla Walla with Percussionist Lary Barilleau and Guitarist John Holmes. The group will feature original Jazz with a Latin tinge. Lary Barilleau recently relocated to Walla Walla is a Grammy-nominated musician with 45 years of experience and is a veteran of the Pacific Northwest Jazz, Latin Jazz, and Salsa music scene. His cd Carmen’s Mambo spent 11 months on Sirius XM Latin Jazz Channel and was in the top 50 on the Jazz Week Charts. John Holmes was born and raised in Walla Walla. He spent the early 1970s traveling to South America and studied Jazz Guitar in New York City at The Pratt Institute.
