The 2014 Echelon Red blend displays a striking tension between the rich, supple fruit of our Estate Merlot and the delicate freshness and aromas of the Estate Cabernet Franc.  An elegant array of aromas is led by notes of fresh strawberries, red plum, and notes of anise and savory spices.  The palate opens immediately with tremendous breadth leading into juicy, intense red fruit flavors.  A supple and elegant balance between freshness and minerality leads to a lengthy, pleasing finish.

The 2016 First Flight Red Blend is characterized by big, bold color, flavors, and structure. The wine opens with aromas of brambly blackberry, anise and caramel. The palate begins with flavors of concentrated blackberry and dark cherry supported by a big, yet supple, structure. Intense flavors of dark and spicy fruit continue onto the finish, which ends with notes of pepper, savory herbs and mountain berries.

A dark, brooding wine characterized by dark cherry, leather, and molasses over a background of baking spice; this wine shows the unique character of our Estate Merlot.  On the palate, a firm structure supports an array of fruit and spices: raspberry, cherry, and redcurrant along with dark chocolate and nutmeg.  The structure supports these dark-fruit and spices into a lengthy, lingering finish ending with flavors of savory compote. Aged for 22 months in 70% new barrels (85% French / 15% American) 49% Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon 24%, Petit Verdot 13%, Cabernet Franc 11%, Malbec 3%

Well-integrated tannins create a gold, yet silky, wine with a long finish. This wine was aged for 22 months in French and American oak barrels

Expressive & intense aromas of Rainier cherry and redcurrants open this Merlot-dominant wine.  This blend is supple and broad with notes of raspberry, strawberry, and cherry supported by an underlying streak of freshness and minerality.  The wine’s structure builds to a dense and rich mid-palate that leads into a lengthy finish of fresh red plums and baking spices. 71% Merlot, 25% Cabernet Sauvignon, 3% Malbec and 1% Cabernet Franc. Aged for 22 months in 50% new barrels (90% French and 10% American) and 50% neutral barrels.

The wine is juicy, round, and voluminous while preserving a core of racy, refreshing acidity with notes of white peach, kiwi, and grapefruit.
