This tribute to southern Rhone-style wines opens with bright, exhilarating and expansive aromas of fresh strawberries, cedar, and fresh herbs. The palate is similarly enticing with broad and juicy flavors of strawberry, Bing cherries, and white pepper supported by a balanced structure. The finish evolves and extends with flavors of herb de Provence, black pepper, and fresh wild berries. 52% Mourvèdre, 36% Grenache, 12% Syrah Aged for 22 months in 55% new barrels (67% French, 25% American, and 8% Hungarian)
A dark, brooding wine characterized by dark cherry, leather, and molasses over a background of baking spice; this wine shows the unique character of our Estate Merlot. On the palate, a firm structure supports an array of fruit and spices: raspberry, cherry, and redcurrant along with dark chocolate and nutmeg. The structure supports these dark-fruit and spices into a lengthy, lingering finish ending with flavors of savory compote. Aged for 22 months in 70% new barrels (85% French / 15% American) 49% Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon 24%, Petit Verdot 13%, Cabernet Franc 11%, Malbec 3%
Dark, savory, and earthy – this Syrah is a sensual wine with incredible density and expression. Aromatically, notes of savory game combine with dark, dried fruit and notes of forest floor. The palate is dark and dense, opening with intense, juicy blackberry leading into a densely structured mid-palate. The finish builds to a lengthy, expansive crescendo of dark, lively fruit, wild game, and savory herbs.
This Reserve Syrah showcases aromas of exotic spices, savory game and cured meats layered with delicately perfumes floral and fresh fruit notes. The palate is full, concentrated and broad with a lively, vibrant structure. The intense flavors of red plum, blackberry, and cherry evolve to a wild savoriness, earthiness, alongside intense notes of strawberry and mountain berries focusing into a lengthy, lingering finish. This Cabernet Sauvignon-led blend, elegantly expresses layered aromas of cherry, espresso, leather and black olive supported by notes of fresh herbs and baking spices. Sumptuous flavors of concentrated blackberry, ripe cherries, and spice poise over a dense, yet, fine-grained structure with toasty nuances of vanilla and butterscotch. The finish is focused and lengthy showing flavors of intense red fruit flavors mixed with mocha. Aged for 22 months in 75% new barrels (70% French/30% American) and 25% neutral barrels. This blend showcases the wonderful synergy between our estate Merlot and Cabernet Franc. Characterized by delicious, intense red fruits and expressing deeply layered aromas of fresh berries, aromatic herbs, alongside earth and minerality. The fine-grain structure is refined and polished by small amounts of Petit Verdot and Cabernet Sauvignon with Malbec, adding juiciness and density. This wine is broad, concentrated, and luscious evolving to a graceful and lengthy finish. Aged for 22 months in 70% new barrels (70% French/30% American)
The blend of Mourvedre and Grenache is a beautiful pairing opening with bright, exhilarating aromas of fresh strawberries, fresh herbs, and a savory game. The palate is enthralling with juicy, broad, and lively flavors of berries, Montmorency cherries, and white pepper supported by a balanced, refined structure. The lively, satisfying finish evolves showing flavors herb de Provence, black pepper, and fresh, wild mountain berries.
Our Estate Grenache Blanc shows a deep array of floral and fruit aromas with notes of Bartlett pear and white peaches. The wine opens bright and juicy with pineapple and navel oranges leading into a broad center palate. The finish is refreshing and racy with notes of grapefruit and passion fruit. Our Estate Grenache Blanc is particularly special, and a rarity in Washington. We macerate the grapes on skins prior to pressing to produce a wine with volume, juiciness and intense citrus and tropical fruit flavors.
Expressive and deeply layered aromas of pears, nectarines, and baking spices are accented by a faint perfume of night jasmine. Opulently, such flavors of yellow plum, melon and honey lead to a broad and juicy mid-palate with notes of pineapple and tangerine. Throughout the palate, the wine is supported by hints of baking spice, minerality and bright acidity. Aged for 11 months in 60% new barrels (100% French) and 40% neutral barrels. Roussanne 100%
